Legal Policy

Terms and conditions covering pickup, fabric care, liability, delay handling, and unclaimed orders.

These terms are based on the premium specification blueprint and are written to protect both customer expectations and Kapda Ghar's operating process across Kathmandu Valley.

Clause 1

Customer Verification Duty & Asset Exclusion

Customers are fully responsible for checking and clearing all garment pockets before pickup. Kapda Ghar does not accept responsibility for currency, IDs, electronics, jewelry, keys, or any other personal items left inside garments.

Clause 2

Pre-Existing Degradation & Care Labels

Items are processed according to their manufacturer care labels. When labels are missing, faded, or unreadable, Kapda Ghar applies standard professional handling. The company is not liable for shrinking, stretching, or fiber damage caused by aging fabrics, existing weakness, or manufacturer defects.

Clause 3

Non-Fast Color Bleeding Boundaries

Kapda Ghar separates darks, pastels, and whites, but cannot guarantee against color bleeding from unstable dyes or poor-quality fabrics. Absolute stain removal is also not guaranteed for deep-set oil, rust, ink, or comparable chemical damage.

Clause 4

Strict Liability Cap & Compensation Formula

If Kapda Ghar management confirms an item was lost or damaged due to operational negligence, total compensation is capped at ten times the base processing charge for that specific item. Compensation may be issued as service credit or direct settlement at management's discretion.

Clause 5

Force Majeure & Turnaround Expectations

Standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours. Severe monsoon flooding, strikes, road blockades, power failures, and comparable disruptions in Kathmandu Valley count as excusable delays, and they do not create customer entitlement to discounts, penalties, or refund claims.

Clause 6

Abandoned Property Rule

Finished orders must be accepted or collected within 30 calendar days from the completion notice sent by SMS or WhatsApp. On the 31st day, unclaimed items may be treated as abandoned property and may be donated, discarded, or liquidated to recover operational cost.
